Inspiration for Transformation

Recently, I decided I really ought to recognize those ladies (and their blogs) that inspired my passion for fashion. I thought it would take me longer to decide who these Top 5 ladies would be, but that was far from reality. My ultimate goal from sharing these ladies and their respective blogs with y’all would be that you too can be inspired the way I was, or even in a different way. I don’t expect anything from acknowledging them, but I feel that they really do deserve the credit for the transformation of this blog, as well as more than just a hyperlink to their website from my Favorites page.

So here we go.. Introducing the five ladies (and their blogs), in no particular order, that I find to be the most inspiring and encouraging on my road to discovering my style and fashion creativity!

These ladies all obviously have one thing in common:

They are f a b u l o u s.

I am 100% certain that they have other similarities, but I think it is their differences that really enables them to inspire me even more in a variety of ways! Every single one of these ladies are clearly externally beautiful, but what makes them different (from each other and other bloggers) is that they are beautiful on the inside as well. Each has their own thoughts and opinions and views on style, fashion and so much more.

I am going to be perfectly honest. I know that all five of these women have a lot going on in their own lives, but a little part of me would get such joy if they did see this and read this. I don’t know how I would know if they even did, but the idea that they could is just really super exciting to me. Hehe!

Since I have made it so incredibly easy for each of you to access their blogs and social media sites, I expect that to happen! I promise that y’all will not be disappointed. I have yet to be.

Super Fantastic Target Finds

I LOVE TARGET

I mean, who doesn’t?

What gets even better is that I think I might love Target even MORE now. Yes, you read that right. MORE. Check out some of the awesome deals I found at Target today. I still can’t even believe it myself!

Cheetah print loafers: $20

Black sandals: $14

Pink and gray bowling shoes: $6

six dollar shoes

And yes, you did read that correctly. That was not a typo.

I bought what I am calling bowling shoes for only SIX DOLLARS.

By some luck of the draw, they were actually my size. I still can’t even believe it!

pink flower

Next comes this precious little pink porcelain flower that I found for only $8. It has a few chips, but nothing that is super obvious. I decided it was worth the small investment.

And finally, if you didn’t see from my last post. This $17 three shelf bookcase was an amazing steal and even more worth the price than this adorable flower. I honestly felt like I was stealing from Target by only paying $17. I swear, those shelves last for years and are so little maintenance, and dare I say, cute?

Classy Construction

So this morning my happiness with the outfit I ended up wearing to run errands was a lot closer to the dissatisfied side of the spectrum. Basically all morning I internally judged myself for what I had decided to wear as I shopped around for shelving for my bedroom.

But the weirdest thing happened. I had decided to assemble the $17 three shelf bookcase I had bought from Target (what a steal, might I add), which resulted in putting my hair up in a messy bun to keep it out of my face while I worked. Here’s where the weirdness occurred. I suddenly was in love with my outfit. I don’t know what happened or why that worked. But it did. I wonder if it had something to do with showing off more of the details on my shirt, which I absolutely adore, or simply because my hair was out of my face and my pearls were on full display.

Magenta and White Shirt: Banana Republic || Black Shorts: Gap || Watch: Fossil

Naturally this put me in a great mood so I completed my shelf and started adding some things to the shelves.

And so everyone knows, I’m working on an awesome post about the top five bloggers I find to be most inspiring for myself. Be sure to look for that later in this week! Hopefully sooner rather than later. I want it to be perfect and perfection takes more time than I wish it did.

Pink & Chambray

20130726-162441.jpg

Chambray button up: Merona (Target) || Pink patterned chino shorts: Merona (Target) || I am also wearing my pink Heather watch by Fossil and crystal flower bracelet by J.Crew

I’m currently on the way to Houston Methodist Hospital where my grandmother is being admitted into the ER for a heart valve issue. Which leads me to my question: what do you wear to visit someone in the hospital?

I thought, of course, something with a little color to be cheerful but not completely obnoxious and overstated. What better way to dim the brightness from these shorts than with a chambray button-up shirt? Agreed? Agreed. I also didn’t wear too much jewelry. And especially nothing too sparkly. I hope this suffices!

Sorry this has been so short but I am in love with these pink patterned shorts and I had to share them with you!

xoxo.
